Cookie Policy

Last updated 22 August 2026. This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on motiontransport.ca, and how to change your choice at any time.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file stored on your device by your browser. Some are required for the site to work; others help us understand how the site is used, or tell us which advertisement brought you here. We also use your browser’s local and session storage for the same purposes.

The categories we use

Strictly necessary — always on

These make the site function: keeping your quote form state, remembering your cookie choice, and protecting the site against abuse. They cannot be switched off.

Analytics — your choice

Google Analytics 4 (property G-QLVVV59499) tells us which pages are read, how people move through the site, and where they leave. We use it to improve the site, not to identify you personally.

Advertising — your choice

Google Ads (AW-18340796218) and the Google conversion linker let us see which advertisement or search term led to a genuine enquiry, so we can stop paying for the ones that do not work. When you arrive from an advertisement, the link may carry a click identifier (gclid, wbraid or gbraid) which we store so a later enquiry can be attributed to that click.

Because choosing a mover usually takes longer than one visit, we keep that click identifier and the campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content) in a first-party cookie named mt_attr for 90 days, so that if you come back a week later and request a quote we can still tell which advertisement brought you. It holds only those campaign values — no name, email, telephone number or any other personal detail. It is set only after you accept advertising cookies; if you decline, nothing durable is written and we fall back to remembering the visit for the current browsing session only. Google sets its own equivalents (_gcl_aw, _gcl_au) under the same consent choice.

Your choice, and how to change it

When you first visit we ask whether to enable analytics and advertising cookies. Until you accept, those categories stay off — we use Google Consent Mode, so the tags load in a restricted state that sets no advertising or analytics identifiers.

You can change your mind whenever you like:

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site may stop working.

Third parties

The analytics and advertising cookies above are set by Google. Their handling of that data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. Embedded content, such as a video or a Google review widget, may also set cookies when you interact with it.
