Motion Transport started in 2005 with one truck and a rule we still follow: don’t take a job you can’t do well. The first year was a few moves a month, Montreal to Toronto, Montreal to the Maritimes, the occasional run out west when someone called and said they couldn’t find anyone honest. Word travelled because the work was clean.
Twenty years later the rule hasn’t changed. A specialist answers every quote personally, our team drives most of the long-hauls themselves, and we keep the operation small enough that we know what’s on every truck. There are no sub-contractors. There is no call centre. If you book with Motion Transport, the team that answered your text is the team that shows up at your door.
That choice costs us volume. We turn down work in territories we don’t serve, we won’t quote a route we haven’t run, and we won’t sub-out a job to someone we don’t know. Form 3299, broker coordination, customs handled in-house. We run US-Canada corridors year-round, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Illinois and Georgia inbound to Ontario and Quebec. Door-to-door, no transfer between trucks at the border, in any weather.
